Teleprompters BC collects only what it needs to quote and deliver your event, uses it for that, and does not sell or rent it to anyone.
Who we are
Teleprompters BC is a teleprompter rental and operator service based in Vancouver, British Columbia, operated by Michael Caswell. For any privacy question, email hello@telepromptersbc.com or call (604) 671-4096.
What we collect
- Quote requests. Your name, email address, phone number, event date, venue or city, the package you are interested in and any details you add.
- Calls and emails. What you tell us when you phone or write.
- Scripts and speaker notes. The text you send us to load for your event.
How we use it
- To reply with a price and availability
- To prepare for and run your event
- To invoice you and keep the business records the law requires
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Scripts stay confidential
Speeches and announcements are often sensitive before they are delivered. Your script is used only to prepare and run your event, and it is shared with nobody outside it. On request, we delete it once the event is over.
Who helps us run the service
A small number of providers process information for us: Cloudflare hosts this website, Resend delivers quote requests to our inbox, and Google provides our email. Some of them store data outside Canada, including in the United States.
Cookies and analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. The only cookie this site sets is the Google Ads one described below, and only when you arrive from one of our ads.
Advertising measurement
When you arrive from one of our Google ads, the Google Ads tag stores a cookie that records whether that visit led to a quote request or a tap on our phone number. It tells us which ads work. It does not give us your name or contact details. You can control ad personalisation in your Google ad settings.
How long we keep it
Quote requests and booking records are kept for as long as they are needed for the job and for tax and business records, then deleted.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email hello@telepromptersbc.com and we will respond within 30 business days. Teleprompters BC follows British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act. If a concern is not resolved, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
